About Me

Myles Tate is a former collegiate basketball player and graduate from George Mason University. He graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology, and went on to continue his education at GMU and earned a M.S. in Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion. During this program he was able to present at the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) national conference for which he conducted a successful study on improved Vertical jump in high school basketball players. Basketball has always been a passion of his, and he was fortunate enough to have played 4 years at the collegiate level. Following a high school career which included over 1,600 points and 500 assists, he went on to play at GMU against some of the top players in the country in the Atlantic 10 Conference.  This playing experience led him into coaching, as he is now an assistant coach at nationally ranked Paul VI HS in Fairfax, VA, where he is a 1x state champion.

Myles values the experiences, relationships, and lessons he learned during his time playing and strives to give back to the next generation to help them accomplish their goals. He believes that basketball skills training is vital at all ages, and can help improve not only an athletes' skillset and knowledge of the game, but their confidence. With a scientific-based approach to strength and performance training, Myles looks forward to assisting with an athlete's overall development and helping them maximize their full potential.

Basketball

Basketball skills workouts for all ages and levels, including youth, high-school, college, and professional. Specialized group workouts, team workouts at the high school and AAU level, as well as one on one. Youth and HS workouts will prepare athletes for the next level, with an emphasis on ball-handling, shooting, decision making, confidence, and learning the game. Advanced and college workouts include film study to identify strengths and weaknesses, one on one scoring, changing pace, increasing efficiency, and scoring off of different actions and sets.

Performance

Scientific-Based Performance training for all ages and levels, from youth to professional. Performance training focuses on developing strength, power, flexibility, mobility, coordination, balance, and increased vertical jumping. General population workouts also available with a focus on strength, mobility, body composition, weight-loss, and increased psychological well-being.

Coaching

3 years of experience coaching at the AAU and High School Level. 1x State Champion at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, VA. When coaching, Myles aims to motivate players to give 100% effort, instill a hard-working and disciplined mentality, and assist in player development on and off the court.
